What is SW Herb Fest?
The SW Herb Fest is an herbal event dedicated to bringing traditional herbalism and botanical medicine together in Northern Arizona. Immerse yourself in a full day of learning herbs from experienced herbalists and physicians from all over the country as they come together to present the SW Herb Fest.
The 2nd Annual SW Herb Fest will be held on June 1, 2019. Subscribe to our email newsletter to get notice of the opening of registration for this event. Your day will offer a variety of class choices so that you can choose the ones that most interest you. Sit in a classroom to learn about botanical medicine for certain health conditions, join us in the outdoor amphitheater for traditional herbalism classes, or take a guided plant walk on one of the many trails.
Who Should Attend?
Are you a lover of the healing power of nature? Then this event is for you. The class offerings of the SW Herb Fest are open to herbalists, alternative health practitioners, Naturopathic physicians, and the general public with a desire to learn more about the medicinal power of plants. During the SW Herb Fest you will have the chance to choose from a variety of classes and activities throughout the day to deepen your knowledge of plant medicine and foster a love of nature.
What Can You Expect?
During this one day herbal conference we will commune in nature, discover traditional healing techniques, participate in medicine ceremony, experience plant walks, and learn botanical medicine options from physicians who specialize in botanical medicine. Visit the vendor market throughout the day to find unique products and gift items. Most importantly, we will spend time connecting to our herbal traditions in a peaceful setting in the tall pines of Prescott, Arizona.
Participate in plant walks throughout the day on the beautiful trails of the Highlands Center for Natural History.
Choose classes that interest you during four class blocks. Our speakers are herbalists and physicians who specialize in herbal medicine.
Experience a Native American medicine ceremony given by a traditional medicine woman.
Shop our vendor market where you will find herbal products, essential oils, education, and gift items. Most of our vendors are local artisans.
SW Herb Fest will be held at the beautiful Highlands Center for Natural History in the cool pines of Prescott, Arizona.
Formed in 1996, the Highlands Center for Natural History is a science-based non-profit organization developed to foster an appreciation for and knowledge of the natural wonders of the Central Highlands of Arizona. Operating on an 80-acre campus near Lynx Lake through a Special Use Permit with Prescott National Forest, the Highlands Center is a hub for lifelong learning, designed to invite discovery of the wonders of nature through on and offsite programs reaching over 15,000 children and adults a year and supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and community partners.

In our classroom without walls you will discover Ponderosa Pine covered mountains, deeply shaded riparian habitats, chaparral and woodland, remarkable geologic formations, and amazing vistas, in addition to all manner of forest inhabitants.
